QA Automation & Manual Test Engineer (with AI Skills)

Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and tech-savvy QA Test Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate brings a balanced hybrid background in both Manual and Automation testing, combined with strong hands-on experience utilizing AI tools and frameworks to accelerate testing pipelines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the absolute reliability, performance, and security of our software platforms while pioneering the adoption of AI-driven testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-Driven & Intelligent Testing
• • Leverage generative AI tools (like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or Claude) to accelerate the generation of automated test scripts, edge-case test data, and functional test scenarios.
• • Implement AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Applitools, Testim, Functionize, or Mabl) to perform visual regression testing, self-healing test automation, and predictive bug analysis.
• • Validate AI/ML models if integrated into the product, ensuring model behavior, outputs, and edge cases meet specified quality baselines.
• ⚙️ Automation Testing
• • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks from scratch using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• • Write high-quality automation code primarily using scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• • Integrate automated test suites smoothly into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines via Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• 📝 Manual Testing & Quality Assurance
• • Analyze product requirements and technical specifications closely to write clear, structured, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• • Execute exploratory, functional, regression, and ad-hoc manual testing for complex workflows where automation is not feasible.
• • Isolate, replicate, and document software bugs clearly in tracking tools like Jira, assigning realistic severity levels and verifying hotfixes.
• 🌐 API & Performance Testing
• • Perform end-to-end API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured to ensure data integration integrity.
• • Conduct foundational performance and load testing using tools like JMeter to identify system bottlenecks.

Requirements

• • Education: B.Tech/B.E/B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• • Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience across manual, automation, and API testing environments.
• • Automation Tools: Hands-on mastery of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• • AI Tooling: Demonstrated capability using AI assistants for coding/testing, or experience configuring self-healing test platforms.
• • Languages: Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• • Databases: Comfort writing basic to intermediate SQL queries for database verification and back-end testing.
• Soft Skills
• • Analytical Mindset: Exceptional logical debugging capabilities to trace a bug to its root cause (front-end vs. API vs. database).
• • Communication: Ability to collaborate seamlessly with Software Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps engineers.
