Civil Site Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in supervising residential building projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at our villa and apartment project sites. You will ensure that construction progresses according to structural drawings, stays on schedule, maintains high-quality standards, and strictly adheres to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Execution
• • Supervise daily construction work on-site, including excavation, RCC framework, brickwork, plastering, tiling, waterproofing, and finishing works for villas and multi-story apartments.
• • Interpret structural drawings, architectural blueprints, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) layouts accurately to guide the site workforce.
• • Ensure structural alignment and monitor center-line marking, column layouts, slab reinforcement, and shuttering before concrete casting.
• 📋 Quality Control & Material Management
• • Check the quality of incoming materials (cement, steel, sand, aggregate, bricks) and conduct standard on-site quality tests like concrete slump tests and cube casting.
• • Minimize material wastage through strict inventory tracking and ensure proper storage of materials on-site.
• • Verify bar bending schedules (BBS) and cross-check steel reinforcement installations against structural designs.
• 👥 Labour & Contractor Management
• • Coordinate daily tasks for subcontractors, masons, bar-benders, and labourers to ensure optimal productivity.
• • Record daily progress reports (DPR), maintaining clear logs of labour attendance, material consumption, and milestones achieved.
• • Review and verify contractor bills against actual work executed on-site before submitting them to management.
• ⚠️ Safety & Coordination
• • Enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring all workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) like helmets, boots, and safety harnesses.
• • Coordinate smoothly with project architects, structural consultants, and senior project managers to report progress or resolve on-site technical discrepancies.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• • Education: B.Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• • Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven field experience specifically in residential villas or apartment construction.
• • Technical Skills: Sound understanding of structural concrete, finishing works, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD or MS Excel for reporting.
• • Core Competencies: Strong leadership skills, ability to manage labor under tight deadlines, and excellent problem-solving skills on the field.
• • Language: Proficiency in the local language is highly preferred to communicate effectively with the site labor force.

Requirements

• Civil Site Engineer with minimum 5 years of experience
• BTech or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Should be able handle onsite construction activities
